Hand Lettering {ideas}

One of my favorite things ever (ever, ever, ever) is hand lettering.  Probably because hand lettering is really simple and easy (or at least my style of hand lettering is...)  It doesn't have to be perfect. I doesn't have to be neat. Basically, it has to be fun.
Lately, I've been really into hand lettering, so here are some of the things I've been working on.

(Tip: look on Pinterest and that should get your creative juices flowing. Was that too obvious? Probably, oh well.)

{YOU ARE LOVED} This guy is probably my personal favorite. Though, it is lacking of color, I guess. Sometimes lack of color is good. Right?

I drew this when we were reading PILGRAMS PROGGRESS. Yes, I know. I was quite touched by the moment.
 I used Pigma Mircon pens. Buy them here.  :)

 This. Is. The. Story of my life. I keep trying to tell people, {I'M NOT SHORT, I'M FUN SIZE}

I was complaining about my size when a friend of mine pointed out that I was fun size. She did forget to mention that I wasn't short, though.

{YOU ARE AS LOVELY AS A ROSE} I drew this when I had just come back from the oral surgeon. I didn't feel lovely at the moment, just artsy.

(Done with Pigma Micron pens, also).

So, for Christmas I got the best sharpie pens. Really, if you don't have sharpie pens you should get some. Yeah, I know, I sound like a sales man for sharpies.

{MAKE IT COUNT} So this was all done with sharpie. It was just super fun, weird, and easy.  I love color, and this is colorful.

And that's all for today!

I hope you've enjoyed this post! Bye! xoxo

Snow Day {Saturday}

Today was Saturday. Yeah. Waffle Breakfast. Movie. Snow.
I had some issues with my blog. So I'm going to share with you snow pictures from today and our last snow.

Yesterday we made snowflakes. Aren't they pretty?

Saturday morning. Waffles. Blueberries. Maple Syrup. Tea. Does it get better?

And it's coming down!

Missy, my dog, wanted to go outside, but she finally settled down and played with her toy.

Soon, she got her wish and went outside and played with her boy.

This is a macro shot I did the other day.

Also, I would like to apologize about the last few days. My blog was a mess. I'm not sure what happened, but my pictures were just huge minus signs.

I think I fixed it and hopefully it wont happen again! XD
Thank You for visiting Carabelle: A dreamer!

Come Again!!!! xoxo

DIY Ampersand Pillow {The "and" pillow tutorial}

Hi there! Today I have my first DIY tutorial for ya'll. I'm calling it the "and" pillow. Cause that's what it is.
I made this pillow a couple months ago for my room. In my room, my twin sister and have our beds in an L shape. So, they meet at the top. I had already made a 'C' pillow for myself and I thought it would be cute if we had 'C' and 'E'. So, here's my "and" pillow tutorial. I must say it is an adorable addition to my room!

Okay, so to start out the tutorial...

You will need:
  • freezer paper
  • an exacto knife
  • a blow dryer (optional)
  • fabric paint or craft paint, or whatever you have on hand
  • two squares or rectangles of fabric that are the size of how big you want your pillow to be
  • a pencil
  • and iron and ironing board
  • scissors
  • Poly fill

To start out, trace your "and" symbol n the non-glossy side of your freezer paper.

 First, cut out the little holes of your "and" symbol, then cut out the rest of the symbol.

Pin the outline and the little holes glossy side down onto your fabric square/rectangle. Iron it on. (Note, I had to pin the holes cause they wouldn't stick).

Paint and peel.
You can blow dry it if needed.

For the next part, this is basically just how to sew a normal pillow. (Sorry, I don't have pictures.)  Place your fabric Right sides together. Pin. Sew leaving an opening. Turn right side out and stuff with poly fill. Sew the opening closed using the slip stich.

And look, your done! So gorgeous, so cute, I love it!

Thank you so much for visiting! Come again soon! xD

{Loved}

We all have those days where we feel, betrayed, alone, and unloved. Our family's hurt us. Our friends betray us, but there is someone who will never betray you. I found some verses to comfort me when I have those days where I feel betrayed and alone. Verses reminding me that there is someone who loves me more then my friends, and more then my family.

For the Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations.
{Psalm 100:5}

This verse reminds us, God is good. His love endures forever. He is faithful, even when we are not.

...the Lord appeared to Him from far away.
 I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.
{Jerimiah 31:3}

Again, faithfulness, everlasting love, never ending, never failing.

As the Father loved me, so I have loved you. Abide in my love. {John 15:9}

I looked up the word abide, I found word such as, remain, stay, dwell and reside. What a comfort that we are to dwell in Jesus' love.

I hope you have enjoyed this post! Be sure to follow me and comment!

Photography {why I love photographing in the snow}

Hi there!
One of my favorite places to shoot is in the snow.  Snow is so magical, and snow is beautiful. Snow sparkles and snow shines.

What's even better is, snow reflects light. So there is light everywhere! Since there is light everywhere that means a high aperture. High aperture is great for portraits and macro shots. So, the background will
'blur' nicely.

I am so glad that I have sisters because they are always willing to let me photograph them, even if that means standing in the snow freezing. :) They really are naturals at posing. We had fun, even if we were freezing.

Thank you so much for visiting! Be sure to come again! :)
